The only activity since AGM was the MMBR Junior Classic Tournament.

General Business
Resignation of Ron Boyd (due to health reasons) – moved L. Thomas “that Tony Cantwell be appointed President for the incoming season”, sec G. Borg.
Lyndsay Lynch has applied to the vacant position of male Bowls Sunraysia selector, moved S. Kelly, sec K. Reid.

Digital Thermometers – Moved G. Borg “that we purchase 32 digital thermometers to the value of $40, for each club to be placed in their Stevenson box”, sec S. Kelly

MMBR Round Robin – it was decided at the 3/11/24 meeting to hold this event after the Melbourne Cup Weekend. This year it will be held on the 9th November 2025, this has caused a problem with a club holding a tournament. After discussion it was decided to stay with the 9th.

Other events held in the playing areas – all state events to be entered in bowlslink for registration and payments. All other events ie winter singles etc to be entered through a club. This will stop confusion with payments going into MMBR.

AGM will be held on Sunday 17th May at Tooleybuc

Bowls Sunraysia would like to buy 4 lightweight master scoreboards for their playing area. After discussion it was decided that a club could purchase these, and the playing area could use them.
Bowls Sunraysia also would like to purchase Pennant Shields and Cof C Singles Shields. Moved K. Reid, “that Bowls Sunraysia go ahead and purchase these Shields’’, sec S. Kelly

N. Smiths letter -Northern Valley Competition (Tyrrell,N.D & MV), the winner plays Sunraysia in the Region Pennant Final. This outcome seems unfair to the other Division 1 winners.
ie If Murray Downs wins NV Comp, then Tyrrell Div 1 and ND Div 1 winners should have the privilege of playing in the Region Pennant Final. Going back to 4 teams in the Region Pennant Finals as in previous years. For this to happen, we need to approach clubs, work out how many games a person must play to qualify, no double dipping. We need to take our time to get this right. At the next meeting at the MMBR round robin we will collate information and decide.

J. Thornton to update regulations

Region Trial 30/11/25 – selectors to decide whether it will be held

Meeting closed 8.30pm
Next meeting Murray Downs 9th November 2025 after Round Robin
