Mick collecting names (36 names so far). Followed by Social – Casserole night 14th Nov not 7th . BBQ organized for 29th Nov. Christmas break up—planned Friday 12th Dec . Due to the unavailability of “our ladies” Ben North is able to do the Christmas catering for us. $25 per head. We are looking at 3 cold meats, 3-4 salads, sweets and bread. Thursdays are adequately catered for. Requirement for a new stove but will look at the whole kitchen setup to see what else is required with the possibility of using the money from the cans.

Greens report
Both greens have undergone a lot of work to prepare them for a busy couple of weeks. Man power is our biggest problem, with a lot left to Phil and Bruce, and will get worse when I’m laid up. I suggest that a duty team is selected for every home pennant match (midweek and Saturday) to put things away and lock up. At present one of us comes out to check, and/or put away, after earlier setting up – Managers to make sure equipment (umpire trolley, boards and mats, scrapers) put away and shed locked at end of each game.
Bakers have volunteered to water the grassed surrounds areas, which saves me a lot of driving in and out, much appreciated. Using Daryl when David is not available is working well to date, with some conversation happening about locking him in as an advisor to the greens’ committee if requested. – Matters being pursued. Lyle Baker in need of a new hose. He can purchase a hose. A new aluminium seat to be obtained for along the new path. Yvonne to check on pricing.
The manure situation is still bad, with duck poop now almost as thick as that of the kangaroos. Action is required. Peter. – Golf are looking at addressing the issue, but are not sure what to do as it is our environment that we play in and finding it hard to run the kangaroos out.

Match Committee 2
All going well. No issues.

Catering Committee
All very happy. No issues.

Match Committee 1
Meeting held and all men’s club draws are being done up. Final date for men’s & ladies singles is 25/1/26. Champion of Champions is 2 weeks after that.

GENERAL BUSINESS
1. Signage Shed wall & club house – Looking at giving our sponsors better signage. Possibility of taking sponsor names down off club house wall and erecting on a board in the shed. Need to add the extra sponsors to the board. Ian Morrison may be able to help out with this. Yvonne to enquire about adding MVP Feeds, H & G Hall, M & S Henty and any others to be done up.
2. Pie & Soup & Hams night – Yvonne to write to the other clubs to make them aware that teams are not to be stacked and loaded with the better players, as was the original concept of these competitions.
3. Flags – Rhonda has kindly sewn new flags for the club. Yvonne to write and thanks.
4. Classic 4’s – Mick Carmody is the tournament secretary for this event. Flyers need to go out. A team is required to be on standby just in case of a late pull out. Contact teams a few days before to confirm entries.
5. Bowls Educational Meeting in Swan Hill – John and Yvonne attended a workshop run by Bowls Vic representatives on governance, procedures and protocols, bowls link and selection policy. Hoping that we are heading in the right direction.
