BOARD MEETING Tues 17th February 2026 SUMMARY

BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MEETING

1. New water cooler installed on B green. Thanks to Ian. Working very well.
2. Hiring of greens – Golf club bar to be used and run by the golf club.

TREASURERS REPORT
Treasurer reported a cheque balance of $7867.55.

SUBCOMMITTEES
Social: Club meal at the Cohuna Stockyard on Thursday 5th Feb was very well attended by members. Friday 13th Feb Pulled pork rolls at club also well attended.
We have been kept busy setting up clubhouse for pennant and tournaments as well as keeping up the raffle supply. Sunday night twilight tournament $161 from the raffle. Proposal for Grand Final night to be held in the BBQ area. Chicken steaks, salad bar and potato bakes with a drumstick if required. The Northern Valley grand final night is to be held at John Keely’s place. Pulled pork rolls will be supplied and everyone is welcome.
Catering: Irene thanks all members for their help with the twilight tournament. Saturdays Preliminary final is under control.
Match: Handicaps for 100 up are being researched and will be resolved out of session.
Golf: Kangaroo issue addressed – looking at culling some with a round up. Bar help will be available for the preliminary final on 21st February. Cost of bowls membership has increased to $20 from $15.
GENERAL BUSINESS
1. Fees next year – Intention forms currently being done up. Increase membership from $140 to $145. Leave Golf member at $90. Junior member at $15. Social Bowls member at $60. We won’t find out the fees from Bowls Vic until July.
2. Rookie Rollers – the little kids are enjoying playing with these. Will have to look at using these to expand our membership in the future.
3. Preliminary final – Jean Sutherland organising the raffle. The club room is organised to be set up. Catering all organised. Score board attendants – Div 1 (Mal Appleby), Div 2 (John Prout & Elaine Bartram), Div 3 (Mary Rodwell). John to ask Tucker to man the bar in the BBQ area.
4. NDPA suggestions – Meeting to be held on the 18th March. We would like clause 5.2 to be discussed.
5. Intention Forms – In the process of being done up. Will be put in envelopes and given out with the AGM/Presentation night invites.
6. Presentation night - $20 per person meal contribution.
7. Club news – 3 teams in the semifinal (NV, Div 1 & 2). Congratulations to Jarred Hammond Champion of Champions. Well done.
